Tara Rose O'Shaughnessy Niewiadomski

As an artist, I strive to integrate creativity and life into every project given to me. As a child, I studied amongst other creative types as my elementary school followed a philosophy that openly aloud children to learn academics, life lessons, friendship and self identity through art and expression. the Waldorf school taught me that when surrounded by creativity, your behavior is lightened, your emotions regulated, you imagination heightened and your life fuller. Creativity equals the vitality of lifes potential. Utilizing your create ability is just one of the grand tools humans have to experience life with ease, excitement, grandeur and wonder. I feel honored to be able to provide a space, a person or just my own time with art. It is as close to magic as I will ever get. I started with paper and have since worked on so many different materials.

In 2009, I worked as a henna artist at a Festival in Michigan, where I hennaed a multitude of beautiful naked women; throughout my friendships, I have always taken every opportunity to draw body art on my loved ones and with many willing volunteers, I grew to strive towards working with bigger canvases. I started taking body art seriously and moved into tattooing. After a short apprenticeship under a wonderful mentor, I began my career as a tattoo artist, which is still in movement. I have also found a great, empowering passion for wall-murals. Beginning with house walls, and moving on to small businesses in Toronto. An espresso bar called Odin Espresso Bar, features one of my favorite pieces that they allowed me to exhibit, I believe it is still alive and well! Bolt Fresh bar recently commissioned me to do a custom piece with them, which was an amazing process. I wish to feed and encourage this area of my career as it gives me the most incredible feeling of self-satisfaction. I am an artist, not because I draw, but because I crave to add art to everything, and sometimes I get to.
